One of destinations on Friday was the Dole Plantation - we spent time in the gift shop, rode the train around the plantation, ate pineapple ice cream and went through the maze! One thing I learned is that pineapples grow on the ground! I honestly had no idea & thought they grew in trees! Another interesting fact is that Hawaiian pineapples are exported and they import pineapples from elsewhere for the locals to eat....
The kids all gravitated to the stuffed pineapples in the gift shop and were saddened to only get a picture with them!
